DEPARTMENT OF ENDODONTICS
Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerning the etiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the dental pulp along with an associated periradicular conditions. Endodontists are highly skilled dental specialists in diagnosing and treating tooth pain and pulp-periapical pathologies. If the dental pulp (containing nerves, arterioles, venules, lymphatic tissue, and fibrous tissue) becomes diseased or injured, because of deep caries or dental trauma, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth. Root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to treat infected tooth pulp which would be otherwise extracted. Nowadays, endodontic treatments have strongly gained popularity due to rising concern about saving natural tooth.
Our department’s intensively focus on intern student, PhD and specialist education. Our scientific studies and projects are published every year in both national and international journals and presented in scientific congresses.
